Legendary UK studio acoustic designer — five decades of work
Andy Munro is one of the world's most respected studio acoustic designers. He began his career at Shure in 1972, founded Munro Acoustics in 1980, and over the following five decades designed hundreds of studios and post-production facilities worldwide, including for the BBC and AIR Studios.
01Landmark design projects
- BBC New Broadcasting House (London) — lead designer of ~30 studios

04IYUNO and dubbing studios
- Retained by Iyuno-SDI in 2022 as acoustic and studio design consultant (official press release)
- Acoustic design of Iyuno Berlin's 25-room dubbing facility, including Dolby Atmos mix rooms
- Now based in Italy as an independent consultant specializing in film dubbing and post-production

As IYUNO's studio director, Louis Chung collaborated with Andy Munro on the IYUNO Warsaw and LA studio projects in 2022, and co-designed the i-dub portable booth that let voice actors record remotely during the pandemic. The British precision design methodology absorbed through this collaboration is applied to every LOUIS ACOUSTIC project today.
